Copy Cat

Pictures of Isabelle licking her gummy bears and of her saying "No more, no more". (No more Monkeys jumping on the bed.)

What a fun week we have had!

Isabelle loves it when we read books to her, which both Freddie and I both enjoy! One of her favorite books is 10 Little Monkeys. She loves to look through the pages of her books and this week, I was watching her flip through the pages and shaking her her finger, at first I didn't get it, but later when I was reading the book to her, and I say, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed" she would shake her finger and say, "No more, no more!!" I LOVE IT!

Freddie often goes around the house saying what different things are to teach her what they are and see if she will repeat him, and this week, she has made an attempt to repeat everything we say. She is our little copy cat!! We love that, I know it wont be so cute in a few weeks, but we are enjoying it now! I asked her to say something and she said "Something". Smarty pants!

She is very good at saying please and thank you, when she wants something real bad, she says, "Please thank you!" all in one breath!!

She has also started blowing kisses!! and she catches kisses too! Last night when I put her to bed she blew me a kiss! I LOVE IT!

We hope that you are having a great week!

Isabelle's Best Friend

Isabelle's best friend, Ty. He comes to play with her at least once or twice a week. Ty is six months older than Isabelle. If he is here when she gets up from a nap, she is more excited to see him than she is to see me. She LOVES Ty!

Such A Big Girl!

Isabelle loves to help with getting dressed! So this morning, I picked out a few things to wear while she was playing and after I got her dressed, she ran to the dresser and pulled out a sweatshirt, and handed it to me and said,"Thank you!!" repeatedly, until I put it on her. She doesn't like it when I don't let her help. So I had to make the sweatshirt work. Freddie laughed when he saw her, she looks so grown up!!

Isabelle LOVES her daddy!

Isabelle loves to help with everything, especially anything that has to do with water. She would spend hours playing with the water in the sink if we let her. So today I bought her a step stool so that she can reach the water to wash her hands and on occasion play in. So of course when she saw what the step stool allowed her to do, she immediately hoped right on, and wanted to wash her hands and get started playing in the water. I let her play for a few minutes, but I wasn't going to let her play in it all day the main reason, wasting water, and second, the most fun for her, splashing water all over my kitchen! So when I told her that we had to put the stool away she got real mad, but when her daddy came over she started to laugh and giggle and get real cute!! Go figure!

Our Fearless Girl

Last week we got a new camera. We were super excited to use it! After all we have the perfect subject to practice on, I will give you one guess who that might be?

We have taken so many pictures of Isabelle that she now says "cheese" when we pull out the camera. She is super cute!

Later in the evening the first night we had the camera, she was chasing her daddy and went a little to fast and ran face first into the wall. She got a raspberry on her nose and upper lip. She was fine, especially after I put a band aid on her nose and she saw it in the mirror and thought she was hot stuff.

Other than the raspberry, she is doing great! She recently saw the doctor and is healthy as can be and is weighing in at 30lbs. We call her a monkey, cause she is a climber. She will climb on to anything and is fearless about it. We keep a close eye on her, she has tried to climb on to the kitchen counter and has already attempted scaling the bookshelves. She is a brave little girl.

Back By Popular Demand

I am a very sentimental person. Having Isabelle only intensified this problem. I started a journal for her, scrapbooks, and the Isabelle Updates that I sent when she was first born, just to name a few. Her first year scrapbook, has everything in it and is 2 huge 12X12 albums. I have printed out all the updates and kept them in a binder along with all the information we receive from her doctors visits. I have books filled with every card she received before she was born and through her first year of life. It's a little crazy when you think of all this stuff and she is only 1 1/2 years old. I think I need to settle down. But I love to look through my baby book and hear storeys about what I was like as a kid, so I hope that with me keeping all these things for Isabelle that she will always have the answers in case I am not around to give them to her.

Today I was looking through those updates, and I sort of miss writing them. It is a great way to remind me how fast she has grown. To see how much she changed in a weeks time is amazing to me. After Isabelle turned 6 months I started to slow down writing the updates and then after a year I thought that I was bordering on annoying people. I felt like I was bragging to much. After all I am her biggest fan and that is not hard for me to do! But a lot of people have been asking if I will keep them up so here is your answer... I have decided to start this blog in hopes that I can update you a bit more often, of her growth and what we are doing. This way you can keep up with it if you like and I am not sending SPAM to those who are to nice to tell me they don't want them anymore. I hope to update you week to week, even if there is only one thing to share! So check back regularly!
