Insta Nascar

For Father's Day Rose and I purchased a Groupon to take the guys to see the Nascar race in Sonoma.   We  left early but not early enough we missed the air show, saw it from the car and we missed the very start of the race.  One way into the race track creates quite a mess of traffic.  We found our seats facing Turn 7 and were pleasantly surprise how great our seats were.  We had  front row seats to all the action.  All but one of the spin outs happened right in front of us.  I was excited because we got to see my favorite Jeff Gordon take the lead right in front of us. It didn't last long, he ran out of gas in the pit. Freddie isn't a fan of Jeff Gordon since he drives a Chevy. His favorite was Marcos Ambrose he drives the number 9 car and yep you guessed it, it's a FORD.  Eric and Rose were rooting for Jimmie Johnson number 48.   The weather was great, not blistering hot, the company was great and we all can't wait to do it all again.  Happy Father's Day honey!  Honey you enjoyed your day!

Freddie likes this photos since Ambrose is in front of Gordon, but I like to remind him this was seconds before Gordon passed him....

First Grade Awards

Last week Issy's teacher put a note in her backpack for me.  It said that Isabelle was going to be getting an award for reading at the last assembly.  It also told us to keep it a secret.  I about cried when I read the note.  Isabelle started off this year struggling in reading and not quite up to where the rest of her class was.  Over the school year Freddie and I, along with Issy's teacher worked hard to get her where she is today.  We are so proud of her!  I also was surprised to get my own award from Isabelle's teacher for helping out this year in the class.   Just one more day left of school!!  Can't wait for our summer to begin!!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Freddie!  We love you and adore you!!

Both girls made Daddy beautiful cards at school.

Isabelle had a fill in the blank card, here is what is said.

My Daddy is Special!!!

My Dad's name is Freddie.  He is 8 feet tall and weighs 20 pounds.  His hair is black and spiky.  He has strong mussels.  During the day, my dad goes to work and in the evenings he rests.   Dad's favorite food is pizza.  My favorite meal that my daddy cooks is beans and tortillas.  My dad can do so many things.  His job is to work on cars.  His favorite thing to do is to go to the gym.  My favorite activity to do with my dad is ride bikes because we have fun.  I love my dad because he is smart.  Signed Isabelle June 17,2012

Locks For Love

Our sweet Issy heard awhile ago about Locks of Love and she has wanted to cut her hair ever since.   She has asked many times for me to take her to get her hair cut and I tried to hold her off for a while.  I love her beautiful long hair.  Yesterday after church she asked again. She said, "Mom I really want to donate my hair for someone who needs it right now."  My heart melted and I knew that I needed to take her.  She was so excited.  They cut 10 inches of her beautiful hair.  Isabelle absolutely loves her new hair do.   Freddie and I were so proud of her we took her to Target to pick out some new headbands.   While we were out shopping there were several people who commented on how cute her hair cut looked.

Isabelle we are so proud of you and we love your sweet sweet heart and your adorable new hair do!

Last Day Of Preschool

Calista had a great year in preschool this year!!  She loved every second of it.  We are so grateful that she got to go to FBC preschool this year and that she got to have Mrs. Ibarra as her teacher in the puppies class.

Bottom right Calista and her buddy Laney.
