Roller Skating
I finally found roller skates, not roller blades at the sports store! I was so excited! We were at the store for something else and I just happened to see them, we had a coupon, combined with a great sale, it was a deal I couldn't pass up! I was so excited to teach Issy how to roller skate. She still wont let go of me, but it has been fun!

CA State Fair 2011
We made our annual trip to the CA State Fair in July. Rose and I took the kids after lunch and Freddie and Eric met us after they got off work. We started out our time at the fair with the animals. The girls both wanted to ride the ponies and this pony ride didn't disappoint! They saddled up and were off on a little adventure, it was pretty cool and the kids loved it!

Then it was off to the petting zoo, which Isabelle did not enjoy at all, she immediately ran back the way she came in! Calista loved it and very much enjoyed feeding the animals.

I love that there is so many kid friendly things for the kids to do. They had these fun tractors to ride, a fake cow to milk, touch pools, a gardening center and even a dress up area.

Abby and Issy playing dress up....

...and of course Calista will take any opportunity to take her clothes off. What am I going to do with that kid?

After dinner we went over to the kids rides and games and Jack immediately won a goldfish tossing a ping pong ball into a glass of water. Since we weren't ready to go home he got a coupon to pick up is prized fish later, I love how happy Jack was to win his fish!

Isabelle earned a couple of free rides at the fair for reading some books and writing a report about them, and of course we bought some over priced tickets for them to ride a few more... Here is a cute picture of Abby and Issy headed to a ride.

Getting ready for the Dragon ride....before...

...after, Abby wasn't to excited about this ride! Thankfully the opperator stopped the ride after the first pass and let her off. Jack moved up to her seat and Jack and Issy enjoyed the rest of the ride...

I love their genuine excitement, I have a million pictures of them enjoying this ride!

Here is a pic of Jack and Issy riding this same ride in 2008!

Rose and I took Issy and Jack on our favorite ride, The Tilt A Whirl. It is my favorite ride and the only one that I make sure I ride before going home.

At one point we were spinning so fast, I swear I thought I was going to loose my dinner! It was amazing!

On our way out of the park, We stopped to get Jack's fish and Issy asked to play. I gave her a dollar and they gave her 4 ping pong balls, she tossed the first ball in and it won her a fist, I was SHOCKED! I assumed that dollar was lost. She was so excited she never tossed the other 3 balls. Jack played again and ended up winning another fish for himself and the attendant group the fish together which confused the kids, so he kindly bagged a new fish, so each of the kids ended up with their own fish. I thought for sure our fish would be dead after a day or two. But a couple weeks later, they are going strong.

Birthday Celebrations!

Yesterday we had a carnival themed Birthday for the girls Birthdays! We invited a few of their friends and their families. We had carnival games, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs and more.
Heather from Curious Georgia made the girls these adorable outfits for the party. They each have a tent on their tank top with their age, so cute!

One of our babysitters came over and helped with the decorating and she and her brother even helped at the party! Thanks Bethany and Robbie!

The Welcome sign...

Each kid got a bag of tickets when they came in, this is how they paid for all the games and food.

Animal crackers for party favors.

We had the photo booth inside with some fun props!

We even decorated the trampoline!

Mrs. Ball and Mr. Ball helped out with the dart game.

This game was Freddie's idea and a HUGE hit!

Sammy brought the snow cone machine and helped the kids make them after dinner.

Robbie came dressed as a clown and helped the kids with the Rubber Duck Game.

Milk Bottle Toss!

We let the kids decorate cupcakes for dessert, another big hit!

Yummy Popcorn from The Adamson's machine. Thanks guys! What a special treat!

My friend Sarah spent the entire time painting faces for the kids, Thanks Sarah, You Rock! She also came over early and built a Big Top out of a pop up shade.
