Insta Friday

Insta Friday!

Issy and Audrey on wear red to school day for Red Ribbon Week!!

Beautiful sunset!
Freddie and I teach High School bible studies at our church and once a month the boys and girls of all grades get together to do something fun. This month we went to a corn maze. My Freshman girls love Issy and Calista and enjoyed taking them through the corn maze until it got dark. When it got dark the corn maze got scary.... So the girls sat out and enjoyed roasting marshmallows with some of the kids who preferred not to get lost and scared in the corn maze. It didn't take long for me to join them.

A fun snack idea...

Mommy is a huge clutz and here is proof!

Halloween School Parties

This week the girls had Halloween parties at school.

Calista had a fun Harvest Carnival at Preschool that they call Franklin Day. Franklin is a turtle who stars in an adorable series of books and movies and the entire day was centered around him. The kids enjoyed lots of activities, like face paining, bingo, ring toss, a jump house and more. Calista had so much fun and was wiped out for the rest of the day!

I forgot my camera, but grabbed a few pics of her with my iphone... I know serious slacking. I felt so bad.

Class photo with Franklin.

Yummy turtle cupcakes!
Calista giving Franklin a squeeze!

Isabelle's class had a little party at the end of the day today. The teacher had the parents sign up to bring snacks and come join the kids for a Halloween movie. The kids enjoyed it but it defiantly wasn't as fun as the Kindergarten parties the kids are use to.... some days I wish we could go back to those wonderful kindergarten days... stress free, filled with lots of fun and arts and crafts... but that is another blog post. First grade is hard core!

Here is Isabelle at her desk enjoying the movie...

Issy's cute face painting. It's a ghost that says BOO!

Boating

On Sunday afternoon we went boating with our good friends the Adamson's. We got to try out their new intertube. The girls both loved being on the boat and both enjoyed riding on the tube. All the kids did great, I am always surprised how well they do when try something new. They've been on the boat before but it's been a while and water safety makes me nervous with the little ones, but they all did great!

Issy, Dee and Abby...

Calista, Mommy and Issy!
Calista loved it and the only way we got her off the tube was bribing her with gummy bears.

Thanks for a fun afternoon out Adamson Family!

Harvest Festival 2011

One of our favorite fall traditions is going to the Harvest Festival. This year's theme was a pirate theme, which the girls loved. The girls enjoyed picking pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, Playing the carnival games and getting their faces painted. The weather was perfect and it was an all around great afternoon!

Game #4

Isabelle has been having a blast with soccer and it is showing in each game she plays. This past weekend Isabelle played in her 4th game. She had some special fans watching on the sidelines, Nana and Pops and Grammie and Gramps. She played her best yet! Helping her team take control of the ball and almost made a couple goals herself, she just needs to practice getting some punch behind her kick.

Here are some photos from this weeks game.
