Our New Car....

We bought a new car this week, a FORD windstar. Isabelle loves it! Especially the buttons that are at her level to open and close the doors. Her favorite thing is to sit in the drivers seat and say "I driving!"

Sigh....

I am glad this week is over! It has been one crazy week!



I had finals for my photography classes so between cramming for that and getting my pictures ready for printing and mounting for our class gallery last night, I am exhausted.



Freddie and Isabelle came down with horrible colds this week. Isabelle was up with the worst fever two nights in a row...Freddie stayed home from work one day this week, you know he is sick when he misses work, I think this is the first time he has done that in years! They are both doing better now.



My Grandma from Oregon, came to visit with my mom at the beginning of the week, they were super helpful playing with Issy while I got ready for my crazy week. Isabelle loves her Nana and Grandma-ma (Her Great Grandma) Unfortunately with all the craziness I didn't take any pictures when my Grandma was here... I know isn't that sad!! It was great to see my Grandma and Isabelle had a great time! Two grandmas at once, you can imagine the spoiling!!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to our two fabulous Moms!! We appreciate you and love you so much!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Moms out there!

We had a great day today! We went to Santa Cruz/Capitola and had a fabulous day! We spent the morning on the beach playing in the sand and taking pictures! We built a sand castle and played in the water...Isabelle really enjoyed herself. Then we strolled along the Boardwalk and enjoyed a junkfood lunch which included a funnel cake!! Isabelle enjoyed several of the kiddie rides! We explored the surrounding area and saw some beautiful sights and several photo opts!

I couldn't have wished for a better day! Enjoy some of our pictures from today!

"Cheese"

We take pictures of Isabelle everyday! She doesn't usually cooperate with us, getting a good picture takes a long time. I have been taking a photography class and have enlisted the help of my friends kids, cause they cooperate far better than Issy does. I think she has been noticing, cause today when I pulled out my camera to practice, she was saying "Cheese" and following me around trying to get me to follow her. I ignored her efforts at first and then realized that she was hamming it up! She smiled and made faces for me for over an hour. Here are a couple of those goofy faces!!

Today

I started preparing Isabelle for potty training a while ago, I started talking to her about it a lot and bought her a potty seat and stool. She hasn't ever been too interested and I haven't pushed it on her. Yesterday morning, I took off her Jammies and was getting her ready to get dressed for the day and she said, "I go potty" So I took her diaper off and she ran into the bathroom, sat on the potty and went!! I was so excited!! So I asked her all day yesterday if she had to go and she wasn't interested...but this morning, like yesterday I undressed her and she said, "I go potty". and sure enough she went again!! Although she isn't interested in going during the day, at least it's a start!!

Also... today she got her new car seat. We unpacked it from the box and set it out, she sat in it and told us, "I like it!" She is just too cute!

Issy Jumps!

Isabelle loves to jump! One of her favorite things to do is to pull off all the couch cushions on the couch in the playroom and jump on them. This kid can jump! She kicks her feet out from underneath and lands on her bottom and laughs!! When she was done jumping she didn't want to put the pillows away so she grabbed a book and laid on the pillows and read... She is too cute!!

Isabelle was blessed to have had some special time with both her Grandma's over the last two weeks. She wakes up from her naps asking for her Grandma's. Today she woke up from her nap and said "Grandma bye bye" It boggles my mind how smart she is. She has figured out which mail box is ours. We were walking to the mail box the other day and she ran up to it and put her finger on the box that belongs to us. Today when I asked her if she wanted to go get the mail she said "Keys" These aren't things that I have told her, she just watched and learns, she is a little sponge soaking everything up so quickly!

Isabelle is talking a ton these days, she makes an attempt at every word we say! She repeats everything, it is super cute!

This weekend we were able to make it to Elk Grove Park to feed the ducks. One of Issy's FAVORITE things to do!! We try to get over there as often as possible! We told her we were going to go feed the ducks and she immediately wanted me to give her bread. I gave her a bag of stale bread and she clutched that bag until we left for the park, constantly reminding me where we were going!!
