The Celebrations Begin!

Today we started off the first of many celebrations for Issy's birthday! We celebrated with My Dad's side of the family! Isabelle had a great time!

Tomorrow we celebrate with the Gallardo's!

Photo Shoot

Today Isabelle and I played with some of my new camera equipment. We had a fun little photo shoot. She hammed it up for the camera! My new backdrop needs to be hung out for a while to get the wrinkles out of it and I need to figure out the white balance with my lights so that the background doesn't come out grey. With a subject as cute as Isabelle, practicing wont be a problem!

Big Girl Bed!

Our little girl is getting bigger! Last night we converted her crib to a big girl bed and she slept in it for the first time!! She LOVES it! This morning she woke up and reminded me that she was a big girl!

Today, Isabelle and I painted the bottom part of her walls PINK! So now her room is Sage and pink... I made curtains for her room and pillows and sheets. I started painting her room, knowing that she may not let me. But she was real helpful! I gave her a clean paintbrush and she pretend painted everything in her room! Then she played in her big girl bed that I moved to the middle of the room. She tucked her dolls in the bed and rocked them! No more nursery!! She now has a big girl room!

I have loved every minute of being her mommy! Ashe gets older I am loving each stage more and more! So far this stage is my favorite. She is so girlie just like her mommy!!

When her room is done I will post pictures... It is almost done, just a few finishing touches!

Happy Father's Day

We would like to wish our Dad's a Happy Father's Day! And all the other Dad's who read our blog! Hope you all had a wonderful day!

This morning, Isabelle and I let Freddie sleep in and when it was time to start getting ready for church Isabelle and I went in to wake him up with our special Father's Day cards and goodies. She was so excited! I know she doesn't know what Father's Day is but she sure knew that it was a special day for Daddy!

Our little Princess...

Isabelle can count to 10! With a little help, We say one and she will say two and we say three and she will say four all the way to 10. You can pretty much say any number 1-10 and she will tell you the number that goes after it, sometimes the next two numbers. She is also getting good at recognizing her colors. She can tell red, blue, pink and white apart no problem, then the others she starts guessing.

This week we went to a friend of mines from school for dinner. Isabelle immediately fell in love with their 3 year old daughter Eden. They played dress up the entire time we were there. Isabelle loved the dress so much she refused to take it off to eat, or play outside. You can imagine the fight we had when we had to go home and leave the dress, shoes and jewelry at Eden's house.

She is getting so big! I can't believe she will be 2 next month!

Saftey First...

We bought a new stroller/trailer today. One that goes behind a bike. As Freddie was figuring out how it worked, I dug out Isabelle's helmet to see how she would tolerate it. (She's never worn it) I put on the helmet and pads and she went running! She had a blast! We couldn't get her out of them! She ran around the yard for a good half hour in the helmet and pads.

Please note, it wasn't our intention to dress her in all pink, she has to have a say in what she wears these days, and this is what she picked out. The helmet and pads just happened to match! Look closely at her feet also... Yup, they are on the wrong feet. Not much you can do
when the big girl wants to do it herself!

Looks like we will be enjoying the summer with lots of fun bike rides!
