Harvest Festival

This weekend we kicked off Fall with one of our favorite Fall events.  The EG Harvest Festival.  Isabelle had a soccer game in the morning and we packed a picnic and brought it to the park.  The girls had a great time wandering the park, picking out pumpkins and playing the fun carnival games.  

Calista's Halloween Costume

This year Calista is going to be a Frappuccino.  Daddy loves his tuxedo frappuccino's and Calista is just way to cute trying to say frappuccino.  My friend Jenn N. helped me make her costume.  We had a fun time together trying to create this.  We had no pattern but it came together pretty good.   Freddie and I took Calista to Starbucks on Monday to take some photos of her in the costume and everyone absolutely loved her in her costume.  She of course ate up all the attention and enjoyed it a little too much.  It's going to be an extra sweet Halloween this year.  (Isabelle's costume coming soon.)

Oreo

Here is the story.  Last week a friend from church posted a photo of a cute kitty.  They needed to find him a home because their older cat was having a hard time adjusting to a kitten in the house.  I saw the kitten and thought he was super cute and decided on a whim to send the photo to Freddie thinking he would probably say no.  He's not the biggest cat fan.  He said yes.  I have to admit I was shocked.  The girls have been asking for a cat for a while and a dog is just not an option with Isabelle being afraid of dogs.  So I showed the photo to the girls and of course they said yes too.  The next day 4 sweet little boys and their mom came to deliver Oreo to us. They were sad to see him go but it was the best thing to do for their other cat. We promised to make it an open adoption and that they could come visit anytime.  Oreo is about 6 months old and was found in the park as a brand new kitten.   He is the sweetest cat ever.  He loves to cuddle and be around us.  Calista loves him and wants to be wherever he is.   Isabelle has taken on the role of feeding him everyday and making sure he always has water.   He is the perfect little addition to our home. 

Oreo loves Freddie too.  Wherever someone is resting or sitting so is Oreo.

Second Grade Fun

A couple of weeks ago I went to Issy's school to take photos for a project the teacher was doing.  I got to go spend sometime with the kids during recess and snap some photos.  I love this first one of Issy being chased.  They were playing tag.  I think they caught her.
