Pre-Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Gallardo side of the family today! It was so much fun! Freddie's Grandma Jenny has everyone over the week before Thanksgiving to celebrate so we can all be together. Isabelle had a blast playing with all her cousins and Calista got to meet so many people on the Gallardo side of the family today! She also got to meet both of Freddie's Grandmas! It was such a fun day!

Calista with Grandma Nadine (Kofler)
and Grandma Jenny (Gallardo)

After our yummy meal at Grandma Jenny's we headed over to my friend Julie's parent's house for a quick visit so Julie could meet Calista. Julie and I figured it out tonight that we have been friends for 23 years. Julie's Mom added that we have always been good friends, she said we hit it off from day one in kindergarten. Both Julie and I have 2 daughters. Lily and Isabelle are both 3, born within 2 months of each other and Emma and Calista are just 4 months apart, both born this year. Lily and Isabelle and best buds already! They love to play together and they play well together! Always picking up where they left off from the last visit. We have been lucky to have been able to see them several times this year already. Julie and I use to live just around the corner from each other and now they live in Southern California. I wish they lived closer! But it is great that our girls are close in age and that they adore each other. It makes it all the more fun when we get to hang out.

Volume Control....

A few weeks ago I ran across this shirt and I thought it was perfect for Isabelle. If you know my Isabelle you know that she has some pipes on her! She can clear a room with her scream. Infact I think I am going deaf in one ear. Good thing I took sign language in high school, right?

I don't really want to turn Isabelle off but it might be nice every now and then to turn her down a bit in volume. The funny thing is that we actually have a mute button for Calista, and it works pretty good...

Gallardo Girls

Yesterday after lots of discussion we decided to take Isabelle to get her ears pierced. She has been real interested in getting them pierced and both Freddie and I were a bit nervous about it. For the past 2 weeks I have asked her everyday if she still wants to get her ears pierced and explained to her that it will hurt and that it may be uncomfortable. She still wanted to do it so we took her. She didn't even cry! She picked out Minnie Mouse earrings and was pretty excited about it! She has wanted to show anyone who will look, her new earrings!!

In other Isabelle news, she is getting ready to be in a dance recital this December, she is an angel in the Nutcracker. She is so excited and today Freddie and I heard her playing in her room rehearsing. I help out in her class often and got to see the routine and I of course had tears in my eyes! It is going to be super cute and I can't wait neither can Isabelle.

Calista is doing great as well! Her personality is growing rapidly! She is quite the talker these days, giggling and cooing all the time! I have a video I will try to get posted in the next few days. She smiles a ton now and believe it or not she is so close to rolling over. She can get herself on her side but not quite all the way over. We expect she will roll over soon. (We'll keep you posted on that for sure!)

1998

10 Years ago this month Freddie and I went on our first date. I remember that day like it was yesterday! He took me to dinner at his favorite restaurant La Milpa, the food was great and we sat there and talked for hours. Then we went to see Enemy of The State, with Will Smith. I remember what we were both wearing and I remember that he was fidgeting with this glow in the dark bouncy ball that he found in his jacket pocket, he gave it to me that night and I still have it.

Tonight we went out to celebrate our 10 years together at our favorite Sacramento restaurant Paragary's. We had a great time at dinner, enjoying yummy food and we talked for 2 hours over dinner reminiscing about some of our favorite memories over the past 10 years.

The best 10 years of my life spent with my perfect match, my best friend and the love of my life. I love you Freddie.

Halloween

Isabelle and Daddy at the Harvest Festival

Last night we took the girls to our church's Harvest Festival. It was a lot of fun and Isabelle enjoyed taking it all in. There were games, jump houses, face painting and even a chance to dunk the senior pastor in a dunk tank. It was a lot of fun! Isabelle defiantly walked away with a ton of loot and Calista, well she got a good cat nap! We hope that you all had a fun and safe Halloween!!

Here is Calista right before we put her in the carset,
she feel asleep the minute we put her in the carseat and stayed that way all night.
