Girl Scouts Day at the Giants Game

Jasmine, Issy, Nadia and Abby

Isabelle joined The Girl Scouts this past spring and so far has been loving it.  In July we got to go as a troop to the SF Giants Game for a special Girl Scouts day.  Only 4 of the girls from the troop were able to come, but the girls had a blast.  We arrived early and lined them up to get ready to parade around the filed before the game started.

Here is a picture I took of the girls when I was inside the park looking down while they were waiting to go in.

Here is our troop walking in on the field.

Posing for pictures while the players warm up.
Taking it all in.
The girls got to participate in all the pregame activities while being on the field.

I'd say their favorite part was watching for their turn to be on the jumbo screen!

After the pregame ceremony the girls were awarded a special Girl Scouts/Giants patch and then it was time to go watch the game.   Of course they had more fun wandering the park, posing for photos and going down the Coke bottle slide.

After the game the kids got to run the bases, which of course was a big hit for the kids and the adults!

Calista stayed home with Auntie Jennipher so it was a nice treat for Freddie and I to have this special time with Isabelle, she had a blast and so did we.
We car pooled with another Girl Scout family and decided to take a stop at Fennton's for dinner,Yummy!

Here is a cell phone pic of the patch they got.

12 Years!

12 years later, this is the good stuff.

The history.
The working through our crap.
The fighting for the best.
The sacrifice.
The commitment.
The digging in when it hurts.
The pressing on when it matters.
The praying and crying out.
The challenging of each other.
The encouragement.
The rejoicing.
The despair.
The sleepless nights.
The care of the little ones entrusted to us.
The crazy.
The beauty.
The reason that we said yes.
The reason why we said forever.

Because forever is such a mystery when you are young.

Forever is everything when you have loved and fought and cried and coasted and celebrated and grieved and still get butterflies.

More than that day twelve years ago.

So much more!

Happy Anniversary Love!  So glad we got to spend 3 solid hours together on beautiful Lake Tahoe doing something we both love and enjoying unplugged time together.  So glad that I get to be on this crazy journey of life with you!

8 is GREAT!

This girl is growing up fast and each year I try harder and harder to find ways to slow her down.  I am so thankful for our sweet Isabelle,  she sure is a great part of our family.  I love how thoughtful she is.  She is a great big sister.  Loves her friends.  A hard worker, her new thing is setting goals.  She is always laughing.  She is spunky, sweet and lovable.

So many wonderful things packed in one sweet little girl and I am so glad she is ours!  Happy Birthday precious girl!

On her actual Birthday, Grandma and Grandpa G came, we celebrated at Leatherby's and putting her new lego set together.  Then it was time to get ready for her sleepover birthday party that night.  It was a super fun day!

Isabelle's Birthday Party

For Isabelle's 8th birthday she wanted a sleepover.  At first I was all for it, and then I realized what I said yes to.  It ended up being way better than I imagined.

Here are the invites she sent to her friends.

A few of the details.
Sleepover cupcakes we made with Auntie Jennipher.

The girls arrived in their jammies and had pizza and fruit for dinner.

No sleepover is complete without a pillow fight... pink feathers and all!

Special thanks to Auntie Jennipher for coming to help!  She stayed until the girls went to bed and was super helpful!

The girls made doll masks for their dolls.

and signed a pillow case for Issy.

Singing Happy Birthday!

Present opening is always fun!  This girl is in love with the Justice store and boy did she make out!

New BFF mood bracelets from Audrey!  Isabelle is totally digging the mood jewelry!
Daddy organized a scavenger hunt, which was a huge hit with the girls.

Then it was time for nail painting!  My sweet friend Chris was also super helpful and did lots of nail painting.  Thanks Chris!
 Beautiful nails!
at 10:30 we popped popcorn and started the movie, the new American Girl movie just came out on Tuesday.  It was super fun to have a brand new movie to watch, all the girls gave it a thumbs up!
at 12:00 off to bed they went.  It didn't take long before they were all fast asleep.  I snuck an iphone pic of them sleeping before I went to catch some zzzz's
In the morning the girls had cinnamon rolls, donuts and fruit for breakfast before heading home.
The finished pillow.  She was one happy girl and thanked us many times for her fun Birthday!!  Love this girl and her sweet friends! Can't wait to do it again!
