Enjoying The Weather

This time of year is my favorite. When it is cool enough to leave the house open all day and enjoy our beautiful backyard. This past week we have spent a lot of time outside which we all love. Isabelle can spend hours outside playing in her playhouse or even driving around in her jeep. She also loves to follow Daddy around while he is working on the yard. Here are a couple of pictures of Isabelle playing around by herself and with Daddy.

Traumatized Mommy....

Cinderella and Belle earlier this month....

Earlier this month when visiting my parents, my Dad gave Isabelle 2 fish. She named them Belle and Cinderella and we took them home. Everyday while I am making breakfast Isabelle feeds them, she loves the fish and enjoys watching them swim and most nights she even kisses them goodnight.

This morning when we woke up I noticed the fish weren't swimming around, they were sleeping on the bottom of the tank. Isabelle hadn't noticed yet so I distracted her by letting her watch a movie and feeding her a brownie. (Not a normal breakfast, but I wasn't sure what to do and I wanted to do anything to keep her out of the kitchen while I thought of what to do).

I quickly called Freddie and he had noticed them this morning also. We were both so sad. Mostly for Isabelle, we weren't sure how she would handle it. I called my parents and talked to them about it too, I wondered if we had done something wrong. They were alive last night. I realize I may be overreacting over 2 little fish, but when you add a child to the equation it changes everything when you think of their emotions or it could be the pregnancy and the added emotions I have from that...

I didn't say anything to Isabelle and distracted her until Freddie got home. When he got home we sat her down and told her that her fishies died this morning and they went to live in heaven. She looked in the direction of the tank and said "They have to go live with Jesus? They don't feel good?" We both said yes. She then blew them a kiss and I cried.

It is so amazing to us, we have never talked to her about death before, how she knew they would go live with Jesus, I have no clue, maybe she put Heaven and Jesus together, I am not sure. But that was the end of it, she wasn't nearly as traumatized as I was.

And So It Begins....

Tonight just a few minutes before company arrived. Isabelle wanted to feed the cat, normally I let her and she usually makes a huge mess but I know she loves it so I don't mind. But tonight, I told her no. I explained nicely that we had company coming and Mommy didn't want to clean up the mess right then. She got mad and threw the cat food container across the hall and it landed in her bathroom and of course spilled everywhere (A much bigger mess than if I were to just let her put it in the car dish) I kept my cool and kindly told her that she could spend some time in her room in a time out. She didn't say anything to me. She ran to her room and slammed the door in my face as I tried to follow her into her room to explain why she was getting a time out.

I was shocked. After I picked my jaw up off the floor I went to tell Freddie what happened and told him I thought I had at least 10 more years of the sweet little angel you see in these pictures.

The sweet little angel did come back very quickly! But I want to know where she picked up the attitude?

Good Times!

My new camera arrived yesterday and I was so excited! Today Isabelle and I went with our friends to the park to feed the ducks and take my new camera for a spin. I am in LOVE with my new camera. The colors right out of the camera are amazing, requiring little to no editing!

Isabelle had a blast playing with her buddy Trevor today. We had him over earlier this week also and they play so well!! Not once did we have to break up a fight between them. They laugh and wrestle and share so well. They are just too cute! When Trevor isn't around Isabelle asks for him and my friend Tenielle says that Trevor asks about Isabelle and Banana all the time too! (I am Banana, too cute!) It really is so cute to watch them together!

It's Official!!

Isabelle is potty trained!

Isabelle and I went to Reno to visit my family this week! My Mom and I had a plan to potty train Isabelle while I was there. And we did it! The first day was very successful and each day she got better and better at telling us she had to go with less accidents each day and today she had NO accidents and we even drove for nearly 3 hours home from Reno and she was able to tell me when she had to go!! We have had her in Pull ups for the last 3 days and tomorrow I think I am going to let her start wearing her big girl underwear!

She is so proud of herself! and we couldn't be more proud of her!!

Congratulations Isabelle! and Thanks Mom for your hard work and help this week!!

Our Weekend....

This weekend we got a lot done around the house!!

Saturday morning we all slept in a bit which was nice! We started our day with a yummy pancake breakfast together and then headed out to the garage to organize it. Freddie brought home his tool box from work and we had to organize it to find room for it! The box is massive!! We spent most of the day organizing the garage. It was actually kind of fun! Freddie also installed a ceiling fan downstairs with the help of his friend Steve. I spent a few hours while Isabelle was napping cleaning out our spare bedroom to make room for Calista and then made my way through all the other closets upstairs. Isabelle enjoyed cleaning the garage and riding her tricycle in the open space once we were done! She was so filthy by the end of the day!!

Sunday after Church we had promised Isabelle a trip to the park to feed the ducks. We told her Saturday we would be taking her tomorrow and she repeatedly asked "When is tomorrow?" She did so good this weekend she helped with everything we did!!

After lunch at the park and a fun time chasing ducks, we headed to the hardware store to buy paint and some stuff for our garden. We painted Calista's room, which Isabelle totally enjoyed! and then made our way outside to start a vegetable garden. After being covered in paint she topped herself off with some dirt! What a life!!

Needless to say we are pooped!! But we had a great weekend together and both Freddie and I are excited that we got so much done!

We hope that you had a great weekend too!

The Latest...

Both Freddie and Isabelle are getting over nasty colds. I thought I had picked it up yesterday when I got up but I seam to be doing fine so far. Isabelle's nose is still running like a faucet but she isn't letting it get her down.

Both Freddie and Isabelle are able to feel Calista moving in my belly, which is fun. Isabelle started walking around telling us about the baby growing in her belly. Her baby's name is even Calista. Feeling her move is my favorite part! I missed it so much when Isabelle was born. Now I get kicked from Calista and Isabelle at the same time. Since being pregnant Isabelle tends to climb on me more!

Since our friends Amy and Molly had the same cold this past week they came over for a playdate today. Amy is my photographer buddy and was kind enough to come over and relieve me from my camera withdrawals, allowing me to use her camera. (Thanks Amy!!) We dressed the girls up in matching dresses, ( I actually bought these dresses for Isabelle and Calista to wear next year, but we wont tell Calista that we let Molly break hers in. Isabelle has been bugging me like crazy to wear hers since I put it in her closet.) The girls had fun and Amy and I had fun too!

Here are a few more pictures from today.....

This one totally cracks me up with her wiping her nose on her dress....hmmm I wonder where she learned that one from???

Here is one that Amy took of the girls, they are just to cute!!
