This Week In Isabelle News....

This week Freddie and I bought a few games to play with Isabelle. One of the games is Memory.... we play it on a much smaller scale than normal, and she loves it! She likes to name all of the things on the cards and she can match things if they are in small sets of 2 or 3. We will have video of that real soon!

Freddie took Isabelle to get a haircut today. This was her second haircut and he couldn't go the first time so he enjoyed taking her and experiencing the fun. She got to sit in a firetruck, which she is enamored with firetrucks these days! They even styled her hair and put a flower in it. She managed to keep the flower in long enough for me to see her cute new do...then she wanted to hold it! Isabelle loves spending time with her Daddy 1 on 1!

We were able to capture her singing her ABC's on video...she gets real excited and goofy...check out our latest video!

Cinderella

Last week I had the opportunity to be Cinderella for a fashion photo shoot my friend was doing.... I had so much fun! Everyone has been asking me to post the pictures....so seeing as this is Isabelle's blog and not mine, I decided that I would dress her up as Cinderella and post both of our pictures!

Our Little Ballerina

I can't resist taking pictures of this cute little ballerina! Today we went to buy her some real ballet slippers, the ones I bought weren't the kind the class required, while we were shopping we had to buy a tutu of course! Isabelle didn't want to leave the store without the shoes on, so I agreed to let her hold them until we got home (you can only wear them on the special dance floor). As soon as we got home we put the entire outfit on and she wore it all night! We even captured her on video showing us her new moves....check out the video below!
She asks everyday if we get to go to dance class... I wish we could!
You can't get the smile off her face when she is in her dance clothes!

A Very Fun Day!

Today was a day I have been waiting for ever since I found out I was having a little girl! Isabelle started dance classes!

She was so excited all day. When she woke up I told her we were going to dance class and all day she asked about it. Even when Freddie got home she asked him... Then after dinner she was starting to get cranky and I pulled out the uniform and she got excited again! We went to class and there are 3 other little girls her age in the class. She was shy at first but soon jumped right in. She Loved it! She clapped and danced and watched her new friends and participated far better than I thought she would. Freddie was there to watch her first day and he was so proud of her. Her favorite part was a song they danced faster to when the music got fast and danced slower when the music got slower. When the song was over she walked up to the teacher and said "Again" 30 minutes was not enough for her! She learned how to twirl, walk on her tippy toes, skip and hop.

We aren't allowed to take pictures during the class until the last class, but Freddie snapped a few after the class today, she was not wanting to take a picture she wanted to dance with her new friends. She also wanted to sleep in her uniform.... she is just too cute! Freddie said that it looked like I had just as much fun as she did!

A fun night out!

I know I have posted several blogs this week..so be sure to scroll down and view them all.

Tonight, Isabelle got a special surprise, her favorite babysitter Samantha came from the bay area to watch her... (And her best friend Danielle, who we love also!) They watched Isabelle, while Freddie and I got to enjoy a night out at our Friends Mark and Ashley's Wedding! Isabelle was so excited to see Samantha and Danielle, she didn't even notice Freddie or I. She didn't want to stop playing to take a picture either! She LOVES Samantha! Samantha said when she put her down to go to sleep she kept saying "10 more minutes please" She is just too cute!

Thanks again Samantha & Danielle!

Here is a picture of Freddie and I all dressed up for the wedding!

PS.. A special Birthday wish to Grandma G from Issy! Today is her birthday!! We love you!

Happy 2nd Birthday Isabelle!!!

It is so hard to believe that our little girl is 2 years old today! The time sure does fly when you are having fun... We had a birthday party with Isabelle's friends today on her actual birthday. She had so much fun!

Here is a collage of Isabelle's first year... I am going to try to take a picture of Isabelle every year in this chair with her yellow ducky!

(You can click on the pictures to make them bigger)

Issy and her buddies...
Isabelle is very much a girlie girl! She received lots of wonderful gifts.... She really enjoyed all the dress up clothes, and shoes... and she also really loved her Cinderella backpack!

This morning before the party Isabelle received a phone call from Cinderella. She wished her a happy birthday and talk to her about birthday cake and getting big. When the phone rang, I didn't know who it was, I immediately figured out what was happening and put the phone on speaker...When Isabelle figured out it was Cinderella on the phone her eyes got big, she was real quite and after the call was over she said "Rella" with a big smile on her face!! She really enjoyed that! ( The call was made possible by her Pops and through Disney's Enchanted Phone calls, in case you were wondering)

She had a fun week of birthday celebrations! She certainly is a blessed little girl! Thank you all for your love and support!

A special thanks to my good friend Amy for taking pictures during the party so I could enjoy myself! We LOVE you Amy!

I think we should have a contest to name the "yellow duck" Any suggestions...seeing as how he will be apart of our lives for many years!!

The 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! We hope that you had a fun and safe day! We sure did! The 4th of July is one of my very favorite holidays! For many reasons...one being the anniversary of our engagement...7 years ago, wow time flys!

It was HOT here is Sacramento, 105 degrees! We spent the day with some of our Sacramento Family down at the American River. It was a great way to cool off the water was great! We lathered up on the sunscreen and kept ourselves hydrated and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon! No sunburns! Yay! and believe it or not the river wasn't crowded! A few crazy drunks but that is another blog!

Here is a picture of Isabelle and her bud Molly in the river!
After a fun afternoon in the river we all cleaned up and headed to one of our friends houses and watched the fireworks from their front lawn! That was awesome! Then we enjoyed lighting some of our own! The kids did great and had a blast! Isabelle LOVES the fireworks... she kept jumping around saying "firetrucks!!!" we had to reminder her that tonight wouldn't be the night we would want to see firetrucks!! She was so happy! I always worry that she will be scared by the load noises, but being as I went in to labor the day after the 4th... I think that may be the reason she loves them so much!

Here are a few of my shots from the evening...

Prima Ballerina

We signed Isabelle up for dance classes today. They are Mommy and Me dance classes. I am super excited to share in the fun with Isabelle. I told Isabelle this morning that we were going to go to a dance studio, I knew she probably didn't understand.

When we got there, we were able to take a tour and see some young girls dancing and Isabelle just stared. I signed her up and got the schedule and we needed to get her a leotard and ballet slippers. I decided to go somewhere else to purchase them rather than pay for the ones they had at the studio. I literally had to drag Isabelle out of the studio. We went to the store to pick out her leotard and shoes, and she insisted on wearing her ballet slippers while we finished our shopping. She reminded me all day long that she had ballet shoes. She wanted to wear them to bed for her nap too.

When Freddie got home from work she wanted to show him her shoes and new clothes. When the entire outfit was on she couldn't stop jumping around. I think she is really going to enjoy these classes and the special time we will have together!

Here are some pictures I took of her this afternoon in her adorable ballet uniform.

Birthday Party #2

Today we celebrated Issy's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Gallardo and Auntie Sarah! We went to Toysrus and bought her a playhouse together! She was so excited! She helped build it and played in it all day! She couldn't wait to go outside after her nap. She even parked her new Jeep outside her new house. I think her favorite feature in her new house is the phone... Such a girl! There will be lots of fun to be had in her new playhouse!!
