I couldn't...

Calista is potty training, I have another blog post in the works for this, but I had to share this...

I was looking through old boxes of Isabelle's clothes and found Cinderella underwear. I called for Calista and said, "Look Calista, I found Cinderella underwear! Isn't that exciting?"

She looked puzzled for a second than said, "No Mom, I couldn't poop on Cinderella, that would be so sad." and she refused to wear the Cinderella underwear. I laughed so hard. She has been doing so good potty training, only having a few poop accidents. We are so proud of her.

Ice Skating

Yesterday Isabelle and I went on a Mommy-Daughter date with our friends Sarah and Audrey. We went ice skating. Sarah really wanted to take the girls, I was a bit nervous since Isabelle hasn't been before. Both girls surprised us, they picked it up fast. Isabelle held on to me and the wall for a while, then I convinced her to hold my hands while I skated backwards for a while and then she eventually let go. She did great! She enjoyed skating with Audrey, pulling me around the rink and skating circles together with Audrey. I think we have two future Olympians on our hands.

Cousin Time!

Over the weekend our cousin Phina and her family came to spend the weekend with us. Ixchel turned 5 on Saturday and wanted to have a sleepover at our house with Isabelle. The girls adore each other and had a blast! We went out on Saturday night to celebrate over dinner, then came back to our house to have cake, presents and watch movies. Phina got the girls matching PJ's for the girls and for their dolls. Those were a huge hit. The girls stayed up way past their bedtimes and fell right asleep. It was a great time for all of us!

Fashionista

Isabelle got this adorable hat for Christmas, she wears it everyday! She asked me to take a photo of her in it, so she will always remember it. So I did. This post is for you Issy! I love that you thought to take a photo of you in your favorite hat!

Silly Bands

Isabelle came home from school earlier this year and was so excited when a friend gave her a silly band, I had no idea what a silly band was, she quickly took off her bracelet to show me that each one has a fun shape. Of course we had to go out and get some so she could have some to trade with her friends. Silly bands have become quite the big deal in the Gallardo household! Even Calista loves them! Santa brought several different kinds for both of the girls and they wear them all the time!

Here are a few of the silly bands they have so you can get and idea of what they look like when they aren't wearing them...

New Bed

On Christmas Eve our friends Derek and Krista brought over a queen size bed for Isabelle. It was a bed that was in their guest bedroom that they are now converting into a nursery. We are super excited that they are expecting a baby in the next couple of months and Isabelle was excited to get a new bed. Since she got a new bed we passed her twin size bed to Calista and got rid of her toddler bed. Both girls are loving their new beds!
