What a week we have had. Isabelle got sick last weekend with a mild cold. Over the week the cold got worse, she had a runny nose and a horrible cough. On Friday, I woke up with the worst case of the stomach flu I have ever had. Isabelle's cold got worse while I was sick. Poor Freddie, was waiting on Isabelle and I, hand and foot with little to no rest himself over his weekend off. He is an amazing husband and Daddy and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful man in our lives. He took real good care of Isabelle and I, and we are praying that he doesn't get what we have. Both Isabelle and I are feeling much better today. Isabelle is playing like normal today, and eating a lot better. The day before Isabelle got real sick, we had a quick visit, with My family and Isabelle enjoyed playing with her Nana and Pops and her Great Grandma and Great Gramps. Here are some pics from our week...

Bribing Issy for a picture....

Yesterday, we took Issy to the Capital Park so that I can take some pictures for my photography class. She enjoyed playing in the park and posed for a picture near the capitol building.
Isabelle isn't a big fan of getting her picture taken these days unless she gets something out of it, like a piece of candy.... I bribed her with some conversation hearts (thanks Cade for sending those to us) and she was so excited she said "Cheese" repeatedly until I gave her a candy. Then after she ate the candy she clapped, I better go stock up on conversation hearts, Issy LOVES them!

Rainy days are no fun but, getting new shoes sure is fun!
Rainy days are no fun!
Check me out!
Issy loves her new shoes!
Issy and her friend Danyka. It rained all week! That is not a good thing in Isabelle's book, she LOVES to be outside! When she would notice the rain she would run to the window and say, "OH NO!" She did spend a lot of time looking out the window. I don't want to tell her that the forecast this week calls for more rain...
Something Isabelle loves to do is look in the mirror after she gets her hair done, or get dressed. She is too cute! She laughs and giggles and admires herself!!
I bought Isabelle a pair of pink-glitter shoes. From the moment she saw them, she wanted them! She was so patient while I was taking the tags off and putting them on her feet. She wont take them off! She walked around the first day she had them just staring at her feet! She LOVES her new shoes...That's Mommy's girl!!
Isabelle is cutting her eye teeth, she almost has a full mouth of her primary teeth.... she has 3 more eye teeth to go!
We hope that you have a great week! Happy Valentine's!

This week in Isabelle News...
The weather has been awesome in Sacramento!! We have been outside everyday for hours! Isabelle, would prefer to be outside any day! We have gone on long walks and enjoyed the local park, as well as many hours spent in our own backyard! Isabelle recently discovered the rocks in our backyard and loves to pick out the small ones and make a pile of them, and then gladly return them when she is done. Sometime she will pick a few to hang on to for the day. She is super cute!! Just like her Grandma Gallardo, she loves rocks too!!
Gwen, Isabelle's stuffed penguin, underwent major surgery this week. We have had Gwen since before Isabelle's first birthday when we took her to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Since the moment she first hugged Gwen, she has never been to far away from her. Gwen goes EVERYWHERE Isabelle goes, she was in our Christmas pictures and cards, cause Isabelle refused to part with her and also in the beautiful family portrait taken for Isabelle's Great Grandma Nadine's 70th birthday. A flawless picture of the Kofler side of the family and there Gwen is, in the tight grip of Isabelle's hands. Isabelle wont go to bed our get out of bed without Gwen. Oh well! So, one night this past week, I sneaked in and stole Gwen from Isabelle while she was sleeping and cut her open to remove her squeaker and tossed her in the washing machine, against the directions on her label. I was hoping for a miracle, that she wouldn't be ruined for good, and she made it through both the surgery and the bath. I quietly snucked her back into Isabelle's bed and she didn't even notice! YAY!
Isabelle is more interested in things around her than ever before, this week she tested out the litter box for herself. Never before has she ever cared about the cat food and litter box. However this week we had just gotten bathed and dressed, and I went into the bathroom to wash my hands, I came out of the bathroom and she came running towards me saying "uh-oh!!" I looked and she was covered in Kittie litter! COVERED! In 30 seconds she had managed to push the litter box in the hall, dump the entire box out and roll in it! (Mom's this isn't funny!) While I started to clean it she went back to where the cat food was and dumped out the cat food and water! This is just one of the things she tested us on this week, the other includes a sharpie, and making artwork on her belly!
Well we hope you all had a great week!
